Baggage Allowance

 

One piece of hand baggage weighing up to 8 kg and with the sum of all three dimensions not exceeding 118 cm (55 x 40 x 23 cm) is included in all our tickets. In addition to hand baggage, you can take certain personal items aboard free of charge, such as a handbag, a camera or portable computer, an overcoat or similar.

If you also wish to take checked baggage with you, you can do so by buying additional baggage allowance. Maximum checked baggage dimension must not exceed 158cm and must not weigh more than 32kg.

 

Special items

 

If an item of sports equipment or instrument is your only piece of checked baggage and it fits into the "small" category, it can be accepted free of charge. Passengers planning to travel with any bigger equipment should contact the VA in advance, since acceptance is subject to availability.

 

Pets on board

 

If you are planning to travel with an animal, you must inform Customer Care in advance, since acceptance is subject to availability. Transport of an animal is subject to a fee and is not part of your free baggage allowance.

 

Reduced mobility

 

So that we can provide you with the necessary assistance on your journey to your chosen destination, please let us know how we can help you. We will make every effort to ensure that your journey is safe, comfortable and enjoyable. It is important to let us know what assistance you require in advance, since acceptance is subject to availability.

 

Cabin prohibited items

 

In accordance with air transport safety security regulations, passengers are not permitted to carry the following articles into the security restricted area or the passenger cabin of an aircraft:

 

Guns, firearms and weapons (as well as pistols, revolvers, rifles and shotguns, this category includes imitation firearms, air pistols and rifles, signal flare pistols, starter pistols, toy guns, industrial bolt and nail guns, crossbows, harpoon and spear guns, lighters shaped like a firearm, etc.).

 

Pointed/edged weapons and sharp objects (this category includes axes and hatchets, arrows and darts, crampons, harpoons and spears, ice axes and ice picks, ice skates, knives of all types, machetes, open razors and blades, sabres and swords, scalpels, scissors with blades more than 6 cm in length, ski and walking/hiking poles, tools such as drills, saws, screwdrivers, hammers, pliers, etc.).

 

Blunt instruments capable of causing injury (this category includes baseball and softball bats, clubs or batons, cricket bats, golf clubs, hockey and lacrosse sticks, paddles, skateboards, billiard, snooker and pool cues, fishing rods, martial arts equipment, etc.).

Liquids - you may only carry small quantities of liquids in your hand baggage, and these must be stored separately and packed in transparent plastic bags.

 

Dangerous goods exceptions - spare lithium batteries and electronic cigarettes should not be packed in checked baggage and may be carried in hand baggage only. In the event of a passenger being asked to relinquish their hand baggage at the aircraft door for loading into the baggage compartment, these items must be removed by the passenger and brought into the cabin.
